Publix is a superhero for moms, babies, and families
For more than 30 years, Publix Super Markets has been a leading March of Dimes corporate partner. Together, our partnership has raised more than $122 million to support our work combating the nation's maternal and infant health crisis.
Headquartered in Lakeland, Florida, Publix operates 1,443 retail stores across eight states. Through their annual in-store campaign, which raises funds one dollar at time at the register, along with associate giving, Publix has delivered remarkable support for programs that promote healthy moms and strong babies.
Publix's customers and associates directly impact March of Dimes' work to improve mom and baby health. Their dollars help fund essential training and education for more than 18,575 healthcare professionals, provide critical information and medical supplies for NICU families, and expand access to vital resources for expecting families. Through our It Starts With Mom platform, we elevated important topics such as doula expansion, vaccines, and postpartum depression, reaching 214,739 views and engaging countless families on their pregnancy journey.

Meet Publix Associate Kevin
Meet Publix associate Kevin, his wife, Haley, and their three children, Eliza, 11, and twins Dax and Evelynn, 8, as they share their story of preterm birth and pregnancy complications.
At 32 weeks, Eliza’s story began sooner than planned. Haley went through 48 hours of labor, and Eliza was born weighing 4 pounds, 6 ounces. She was rushed to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where she needed help breathing and was placed under a ventilated tent. Eliza fought for five weeks, experiencing repeated drops in her heart rate while relying on a feeding tube.
At 34 weeks, after Haley endured constant morning sickness, high blood pressure and preterm contractions, the family learned their twins were arriving early. Evelynn arrived first, strong and steady. But Dax was in critical condition — his heart rate dropped, and he needed resuscitation. He was also born with a broken collarbone and a collapsed lung. Both babies spent 12 days in the NICU, with Dax requiring chest and feeding tubes and Evelynn having jaundice.
Today, all three children are healthy and thriving. Thanks to the generosity of Publix's customers and associates, your gifts directly impacts March of Dimes' mission to fight for the health of all moms and babies.
