Quest Diagnostics Foundation
Leveraging collective impact to increase access to healthcare and health education
In 2024, March of Dimes and the Quest Diagnostics Foundation, as part of its Quest for Health Equity initiative, joined forces to increase access to critical maternal and infant healthcare and health education in Houston, Miami, and Chicago through the power of local collective impact.
The primary goals of our collaboration are to increase the number of trained Community Health Workers (CHW) and doulas available in these communities to care for moms and babies, while increasing access to critical maternal and infant health education and basic needs.
This grant is part of Quest for Health Equity's strategic effort to collaborate side-by-side with local stakeholders to support community-led initiatives that address social determinants of health. Through local community outreach such as food distribution events and community health fairs, we’ll distribute critical maternal health information while supporting families in these areas.
Together, we aim to help remove systemic barriers, address social determinants of health, and improve access to critical maternal and infant health education in the selected March of Dimes’ Local Collective Impact communities.
The Quest Diagnostics Foundation’s support allows March of Dimes to expand on our local impact, more deeply and meaningfully address the root causes of health inequities, and create lasting change through education and outreach within these three communities.
