United Food and Commercial Workers support healthy families
For more than 85 years, labor unions have stood alongside March of Dimes, united by a shared commitment to family and equity.
As a part of our Labor of Love platform and as a UFCW designated national charity partner, we'll work together to support and advocate for healthy pregnancies, strong families, and improved maternal and infant health outcomes in the U.S.

By joining forces, we have the opportunity to help even more families access the care and resources they need for healthy pregnancies and strong futures.”
For years, UFCW members have actively supported March of Dimes, raising over $5 million through golf outings, sporting clays events, auctions, and March for Babies teams.
“Our partnership with UFCW builds on this proud legacy, strengthening our ability to advocate for policies, provide essential resources, and drive meaningful change to improve maternal and infant health outcomes,” said Cindy Rahman, President and CEO of March of Dimes. “We'll work together to ensure that every family — no matter where they live or work — has access to the care and support they need for a healthy and strong start.”
UFCW has also uplifted the voices of their own members, like Daniel Scott of UFCW Local 1996, whose twins spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) after a challenging pregnancy, and Patrick Nuzum of UFCW Local 655, whose wife Tammy went into labor at 17 weeks and 3 days of pregnancy, losing their baby girl, Adeline.
For families like the Scotts and Nuzums, March of Dimes’ work is more than a cause — it’s a lifeline, ensuring that babies born too soon or facing complications receive critical care.
